Win the Day #8 | Seed the Clouds

Seed The Clouds

Vincent Shaefer experiments with GE. On November 13, 1946 he flew into a cloud with 6 pounds of dry ice. Dry ice dropped into a cumulus cloud and caused an explosion of snow. Snowfall was seen for miles.

Prayer dropped into the heavens and it released God’s presence and power into the earth.

Prayer is that space and the place in our life where we access the resources of another dimension to change this dimension. That place where you on purpose unplug from the seen and plug into the unseen. That place where you bring the realities of a permanent heavenly world to bear on the temporary circumstances of an earthly world.

In prayer you see things differently.

In prayer you are changed.

In prayer you move things.

In prayer you connect to what is already provided for you.

  • Peace is found in prayer
  • Insights are found in prayer
  • Perspective is found in prayer
  • Power is found in prayer
  • Answers are found in prayer

Prayer is literally moving things around in the unseen realm.

James 5:16 The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

James 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain; and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.

James 5:18 And he prayed again, and the sky poured rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Elijah models Cloud Seeding prayer for us. God sends a drought to Israel as a consequence of their disobedience, then 3 years & 6 months later God sends rain again.

All of this is effected through:

  • The life
  • The prayers
  • The words
  • Of Elijah

Elijah stood in the gap for God’s purpose. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

– Effective – energeo

– Accomplish – energeo

Energeo

–  accomplish (1), brought about (1), effective (2), effectually worked (2), performs (1), Work (7), working (2), works (7)

Energized prayer energizes much. Energeo is a working energy. The divinely energized prayer of a righteous man releases great energy.

Prayer is work. Work is not bad.

– Work is the flow of life

– It’s the release of energy

Prayer is not just what you do before work

– Prayer is a great work

When you are praying, you are working. Prayer is moving spiritual substance around in the spirit realm. It’s the work of moving things around in the spirit.

Keep things on spirit playing field:

– That is home field advantage

– That is where your victory is assured

The enemy is always wanting to drag you into dealing with life in the natural… to get you on his terms.

You’ll begin to pray when you see the reality of the spirit realm.

You’ll begin to see the spirit realm in a greater way when you pray.

Divinely energized prayer

– Coming through a righteous man

– Releases divine energy

The energy of effective prayer starts with God. Prayer is not us trying to get God to do what we want, It’s us connecting with what’s on His heart.

Then becoming the conduit for His will to be released into the earth. The first matter in effective prayer is discerning what is on the heart of God concerning the matter you are praying over. Then we stand in the gap as the enforcer of His will on the earth.

God is wanting to release His:

– Work

– His energy

– His purpose

into the earth

What He’s looking for is gap men/women

– Men who have a heart for – thy kingdom come

– Then who are willing to pray the price to bring the will of God to the earth

Elijah as an example:

James 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain; and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.

James 5:18 And he prayed again, and the sky poured rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

  1. Cloud Seeding Prayer is a Prophetic Declaration

Elijah prophecies about no rain.

1 Kings 17:1 Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.”

This was a prophetic judgment on Israel because they had forsaken the Lord and had turned to serve other gods – Baal.

Prayer needs to be seen in it’s prophetic dimension. Prayer is declaring the truth of God to your situation.

There are other aspects of prayer

– Asking, inquiring

– Worship

But prophesying in prayer is vital.

Mark 11:23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

Talk to your mountain. Don’t just talk about your mountain. Pray the promise, Don’t pray the problem.

  1. Cloud Seeding Prayer is Birthed out of a Word from the Lord

1 Kings 18:1 Now it happened after many days that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the face of the earth.

From that promise given by God, Elijah steps up to declare to Ahab.

1 Kings 18:41 Now Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower.”

Elijah hears a sound no one else is hearing because he’s tuned to a different frequency no one else is listening to.

What is the word of the Lord

The promise of God

The heart of God

For the situation you are praying for

That word is your sword for fighting that battle. Once you get a word from God, hang on to it.

The Bible is a living book, It’s eternally true. It speaks to us in the now. Discern the word of the Lord for the situation and the season you are in.

First the word of the Lord here was, no rain. Three years later the word of the Lord was let there be rain.

What God was saying to you three years ago may not be the word of the Lord for today. Stay in sync with your season.

  1. Cloud Seeding Prayer Realizes the Promise of God is not Automatically Fulfilled but Must be Prayed Through

1 Kings 18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he crouched down on the earth and put his face between his knees.

1 Kings 18:43 He said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go back” seven times.

1 Kings 18:44 It came about at the seventh time, that he said, “Behold,  a cloud as small as a man’s hand is coming up from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘ Prepare your chariot and go down, so that the heavy shower does not stop you.’”

Elijah’s doing his battles in the prayer closet. Though he had a promise from God concerning rain, he still did the work of prayer, to bring it to pass.

Daniel 9:1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of Median descent, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans—

Daniel 9:2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.

Daniel 9:3 So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.

Daniel read Jeremiah’s prophecy about the 70 years of captivity and saw the 70 years were up. He then began to fast and pray that the prophetic word would come to pass.

Daniel 10:11 He said to me, “O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

Daniel 10:12 Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.

Daniel 10:13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia.

That’s when He encountered the warfare in the heavenlies. The enemy will always war against the purpose of God being fulfilled. The enemy may war against God’s promise being fulfilled in your life but he can never ultimately stop it.

Pray your prophetic words through. Pray through what you see in the word, what comes alive to you.
