Resurrection Powered Living

Ephesians 1:18-21 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

You are intended to live powerfully. Christianity is a powerful way to live:

1. The hope of your calling
2. the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints
3. surpassing greatness of His power directed toward us

Your heart can see things your head cannot see

Proverbs 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.

Target Fixation: You go toward what your eyes are fixed on. What set of eyes are we using to focus on life with?
You have a calling and purpose for your life: We are called to live in hope
Hope is a positive expectation for the future

1 Corinthians 13:13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love
Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope
Proverbs 23:18 Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope is an expectation that the future is going to be greater than our current or past situation. Hope is like oxygen to your soul.
There are lots of things going on that would like to steal your hope. Keep the spark of hope alive!

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil

The devil thought he had defeated Jesus but the power of God raised Him up to the greatest victory ever and that power is aimed at you! He’s given you a hope and a future!
