Now
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain — for He says, “AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU.” Behold, now is “THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,” behold, now is “THE DAY OF SALVATION.”
Grace Now
- 2 Corinthians 6:1 “And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.”
- Receive the grace of God; we are all recipients of what we do not deserve
- It’s all yours and mine by grace; it’s not earned by any effort on our own
- We cannot be good enough, strong enough, wise enough, or holy enough to earn the favor, blessing, or goodness of God
- Your life, breath, talent, capacity, salvation, and calling all originate in the grace of God
- None of those things would be available if it weren’t for God being a God of grace
- Of all the possible postures the God of all things could take – he chose grace
- The promises and favor of God come by grace; your healing, provision, breakthrough, next level, abundance, future
- It comes as a gift that is received by faith
Favor Now
- 2 Corinthians 6:2 “for he says ‘At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time.’“
- “Acceptable” is the same word as “favor”
- Luke 4:18-19; Jesus says he is anointed to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
- God is a God of favor and he desires to pour it out on your life
- Favor is when God blesses the work of your hands, your relationships go well, people look on you with favor, and life works for you
- There are four elements of God’s favor: the anointing, the proclamation, the favor, the year
- Change the words of your mouth to reflect the favor of the Lord
- Psalm 5:12 “For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield.”
Salvation Now
- Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God”
- Now is the day of salvation; grace gives, faith receives
- Salvation is not just a ticket to heaven; it includes all that God has to offer his children
- God is “previous,” the originator of all: salvation is all about God’s work
- Know that God is working on tomorrow this day
- God is up to something great in your life today
